MP-001 “The Contender”

Design

I based this amp on the 5F2-A Princeton. It uses a 10-inch Jensen speaker instead of the usual 8-inch format; the larger format was inspired by the tweed Harvard.

Switching

A raw switch bypasses the tone control for a simpler, Champ-like signal path. A second switch bypasses negative feedback.

Build notes

This is my own 5F2-A-derived build, not a vintage Fender or a customer repair. The identification label lists serial 001 and the 5Y3GT, 6V6GT, and 12AX7 tube positions.
