Tell me the make and model, what it is doing, when the problem happens, and what you have already tried. Mention any prior repairs or modifications you know about. A few photos of the whole item and the problem area help.

Let me know whether you are local or considering shipment. I will tell you if I can take the job and what to do next. Local drop-off is by arrangement. Please do not ship anything until we have agreed on it.

What happens next

After I receive the item, I inspect it and diagnose the problem. I will explain the proposed work and cost before repair proceeds. Once the work is done, I test it and arrange pickup or return shipment.
